Everyday we tried to come up with an activity that everyone could get together and participate as a group. Below is a daily itinerary of what requests we received and what day made the most sense. The Sobota house will be open every day for those of you who'd rather just have some R&R in the swimming pool, hang out on the patio (or inside if it's a scorcher) and just chill-out.
The Sobota house is about 20 minutes from the rented Barrington house and 40 minutes from Jerry and Russell's house. We will keep adding mores details below...

THURSDAY JULY 12

ARRIVAL DAY

Welcoming everyone to the Windy City!

Visiting families settling into the rented house or loved one's "opened" homes

FRIDAY JULY 13

Jerry & Kathy's Anniversary Party

White Eagle Restaurant
6839 N. Milwaukee Ave
Niles, IL 60714
Cocktails at 6:00pm
Dinner at 7:00pm

Saturday July 14

Wrigleyville Night

The gang is heading down to the northside to do some barhopping in historic Wrigleyville. Working out details on where to meet and park, but Designated Drivers will be needed since Wrigleyville tends to "overserve" its visitors! Russell has a couple spots in mind and group cabs or Uber may also be an option. There is a concert playing that night at Wrigley so the town will be alive. Let's sleep off the good time from anniversary party and plan on meeting at 5pm at the location TBD. Sharon is recruiting babysitters!

Sunday July 15

BBQ Pool Party

Everyone is welcomed over to the Sobota House to relax-off the crazy weekend. We will barbecue & smoke some meat. We will have the volleyball net up, have bags going, outdoor stuff for the kids (bikes, skooters, hoverboards, balls, etc), and more booze, of course. I'll start answering my door at 11am, provided Russell doesn't feed me too much tequila in Wrigleyville on Saturday Night. My gut is telling me a Jungle Juice concoction maybe be brewed this day....

Monday July 16

Brookfield Zoo

The Lincoln Park Zoo is very nice, Brookfield Zoo is just awesome. There is a ton to do here so everyone will bring back some great memories. You can bring you won food and picnic there, so plan on sandwiches. Food there is expensive so it is a smart way to go. They also charge to park by the carload, so we will figure bringing the biggest cars there. Summer camp kids start filtering out at 1-2pm, so that's when the crowd will die down. Tuesdays are "Free Day", which really means "Stay-Away Day" FYI.

Tuesday July 17

Downtown FuN

and Lou Malnati's

We will head downtown to enjoy what Chicago has to offer. Requests have been made for the Willis Tower Glass Box, Mellenium Park, Navy Pier along with some other good time ideas. We will try to get down there early to make the most of a day, with a good time to try to leave being after 8am from the Barrington House/Sobota House so not get caught in Morning rush, swinging by to grab the Chicago crews on the way. We will also have a room reserved at Lou Malnati's so everyone can get some Chicago Stuffed Pizza to finish the day off on a cheesy note.

Wednesday July 18

Departing Day

We will get some input on who will still be around and maybe we can plan something. The Sobota House will still be open for all otherwise for more swimming, playing and relaxing.
